Be Yourself

I am an Engineering student at Texas A&M University, aspiring to become a biomedical engineer and a professional dancer. Everyone aspires to feel accomplished in their endeavors and have a clear purpose in life.  I created this space to share my real life experiences, passions and things I learn while on this little chaotic yet beautiful journey of life.

I am a diploma holder in Kathak (classical dance form originated in India) and have been learning dance from the age of 7. My Guru, Mrs. Akhila Rao, has played an instrumental role in shaping up my personality as a dancer. With professional training in various other dance forms such as Contemporary, Bollywood, and Indian Folk, I have been performing at local, state and national and international level charity and competitive events. I am coaching performers at beginners and intermediate level with self-crafted Bollywood choreographies. The dances have been performed at various local events and are planned to be performed in upcoming live events. Very recently, I was placed first in the National dance competition, known as "I LOVE DANCE", in the folk and ethnic category with a dividend to perform in an international event to be held in Germany this year.

Being proficient in my mother tongue, Hindi, I have been tutoring enthusiastic learners who want to stay close to their culture and motherland.

I have also been a member of Business Professionals of America club (aka BPA). With 45,000 members in over 1,800 chapters across 25 states and Puerto Rico, as well as an international presence in China, Haiti and Peru, BPA is an organization that supports business and information technology educators by offering co-curricular exercises based on national standards. I secured 7th position in a National competitive event organized by Business Professionals of America. in the National Leadership Conference in May 2021.

In my free time, I love to bake and I can easily blame the extra pounds to this interest of mine. A Starbucks coffee fan, I am very fond of celebrating festivals with my loved ones. Lastly, I absolutely love to travel and I am fortunate to have visited amazing places with family and friends.
